DICOM Support
DICOM is supported by AGI products as described below.
1) AGI's toolkit for JPEG application developers,
JPEG PRO,
can be used to handle input and output of compressed images in DICOM files. It supports all JPEG compression modes:
Baseline, sequential, progressive, and lossless modes. Images can be 8 or 12 bits per color (2-16 bits in lossless mode).
The toolkit is suitable for integration into DICOM applications, but is not a DICOM application itself. The toolkit only takes care of compressed image data. Uncompressed images are not supported. The toolkit does not interpret any text headers such as patient data.
2) The first JPEG image in a DICOM file can be viewed, converted, or printed by means of EasyCopy
