JPEG File Format
JPEG file format is supported by AGI products as described below.
- Version
- ISO international standard 10918: "Digital Compression and coding of continuous-tone still images".
- JFIF (JPEG File Interchange Format) is a subset of JPEG. It includes additional headers implemented as JPEG application markers.
- Color modes
- Gray scale, RGB, YUV.
- Compressions
- Baseline, sequential, progressive, and lossless modes are supported

JPEG Toolkit
AGI also offers JPEG PRO, a developer toolkit for JPEG applications. It supports all JPEG
compression modes: Baseline, sequential, progressive, and lossless modes. Images can be 8 or 12 bits per color (2-16 bits in lossless mode).
