On UNIX how do I plot a Montage at the size/scale I want? To make a for example 30"x30" layout/print, please do as follows: 1. Start EasyCopy, select File->Always Save Settings 2. Open Montage 3. Select your printer/plotter: File->Printers and press OK. 4. Select: File->Printer Setup->Paper. Choose: Page Size=Custom. Select Units=Inches. Type in 30 by 30 inches for Width and Height, and press OK. Set "Cut Media=After Page". Press OK. 5. Select File->Page Setup, and select Canvas Size=Set from Printer (Standard Format will be: Custom). Press OK 6. Create you montage. 7. Press File->Print. For the very first time, please check the Page Layout dialog that Metric Scale=1. If not, press the "Scale 1:1", and press Ok. 8. Next press Print. Your Montage will show up in the plotter as 30x30 inches (Metric scaled 1:1). The next time you use EasyCopy the Metric Scale will be set to 1:1. If you don't want to define a custom page size for your Montage, you can also select a (printer) Page Size like 36" by 100", and just define your Montage size in the File->Page Setup dialog as you want. At the printing time, you then need to use the Page Layout dialog (Print dialog)- (X Origin & Y Origin) to position the canvas/montage at the Top/Left position on the paper. Besides that you might want to select the Printer Setup->Cut Media=After Image to save paper. Copyright © 1995-2005, AGI (autoGraph international). All rights reserved. www.augrin.com |
